Simon Kilby is Chief Revenue Officer for Radio in the UK division of Bauer Media Group, a position he has held since 2018. Simon leads a unified radio sales team, responding to the evolving needs of Bauer’s customers to deliver a more integrated audio sales experience.
Over 18 million listeners listen to a Bauer Radio station every week with listening via a digital device at a record high of 72%. Bauer is home to iconic and distinctive radio brands including Absolute Radio, KISS, Magic and Hits Radio Network and is home to the number one digital radio station in the U.K. – KISSTORY.
2019 saw Bauer Radio add to its growing digital portfolio with the launch of Country Hits Radio and Scala Radio – all fuelled by innovative launches reflecting the fastest growing music genres in the UK. This was in addition to adding seven more online only stations accessed through logged- in listening including KISS Garage and steadily adding to its podcast collection which now includes: Q Presents: The Making Of, The MOJO Innovators, Clyde 1 SuperScoreboard and the award-winning The Frank Skinner Show podcast.
Bauer InStream launched in 2019, offering advertisers creative and targeted digital audio advertising solutions in a brand safe environment within a network of trusted and influential of Bauer-owned brands no longer accessible anywhere else, including trusted publishing brands such as Empire and Grazia.
Kilby’s experience spans six years at Bauer Media, prior to which he was commercial director at Absolute Radio for two years and held various commercial positions at Guardian News and Media. As Chief Revenue Officer, Simon has been instrumental in driving vision and growth in Bauer’s advertising revenues across all radio sales teams.
